Celebrating a Life of Impact: SCOAN Commemorates T.B. Joshua Five Years On

Thousands of worshippers, ministers, dignitaries and partners from across the globe converged at The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos on Friday, June 5, 2026, to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the passing of Prophet T.B. Joshua in a solemn yet celebratory event themed, “Rejoicing With the Saints.”

Broadcast live on Emmanuel TV to audiences worldwide, the gathering united people of diverse nationalities, cultures and backgrounds in honour of a man whose ministry, humanitarian outreach and spiritual influence continue to impact millions across the world.

The programme, hosted by renowned actor Femi Branch and broadcaster Seraphine Dogbe, featured an inspiring blend of worship, musical ministrations, personal testimonies and heartfelt tributes. Throughout the event, speakers reflected on the enduring relevance of Prophet T.B. Joshua’s teachings and the far-reaching legacy he left behind.

Internationally acclaimed gospel artistes ministered during the celebration. American gospel singer Byron Cage led worshippers in thanksgiving, while Tanzania’s Christina Shusho ushered the congregation into a profound atmosphere of praise and worship. Zambia’s Kings Mumbi Malembe energized attendees with vibrant praise sessions, and Brian Courtney Wilson delivered moving renditions centred on gratitude and God’s faithfulness.

A major highlight of the evening was the Conversation Corner, hosted by Vimbai Mutinhiri, where distinguished guests from around the world shared personal encounters and experiences with the late prophet. Their testimonies highlighted the transformative impact of his counsel, prayers and humanitarian interventions.

Among those who paid tribute were King Willard Mswati Gormani of Malawi, Colonel Wilson from Colombia, Pastor Acosta from Argentina and Lieutenant Colonel Melo from the Dominican Republic. Their reflections underscored the global reach of Prophet T.B. Joshua’s ministry and the lasting influence he continues to wield beyond Nigeria’s borders.

An emotional moment came with the screening of a specially produced video chronicling the life and journey of Prophet T.B. Joshua. The presentation traced his rise from humble beginnings to becoming one of the most influential Christian leaders of his generation. The visual tribute moved many in attendance, celebrating his unwavering faith, devotion to God and commitment to serving humanity.

The event also spotlighted the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the T.B. Joshua Foundation, which continues to provide support to vulnerable communities through initiatives such as the Five Thousand Lives Initiative and The Horizon Project. Organisers noted that these programmes remain a testament to the prophet’s vision of demonstrating God’s love through practical acts of compassion.
